Our baking ingredients have been a favourite in Kiwi kitchens for many generations, especially at Christmas!
Perfect for Christmas cakes, festive cooking and baking, as well as decorating the top of your delicious fruit cakes.
TASTI CHERRY 'N' CHOC SQUARES
Here's what you need:
150g dark chocolate
2 eggs, separated
1/2 cup castor sugar
1 1/4 cups Tasti Desiccated Coconut
1 cup Tasti Cake Fruit Mix
1/2 cup Tasti Cherries, chopped
1/4 cup Tasti Walnuts, chopped
Here's what you do:
Preheat oven to 180. Melt chocolate in a bowl over hot (not boiling) water. Spread evenly in a swiss roll tin. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add yolks and sugar and beat well. Fold in coconut, fruit mix, cherries and walnuts. Spread over chocolate and bake 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees until golden brown. Cut when cold.
