Our Sustainability Journey

We are committed to preserving our environment and contributing to the protection of our homeland New Zealand, ensuring that it remains just as magnificent in the future as it is today. Here are some of the ways we're working towards this goal.

Recycling

Our Packaging is Recyclable

Recycling is great for our environment. It reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills, conserves natural resources such as timber, water and minerals, prevents pollution and reduces greenhouse gases.

We make it as easy as possible for you to see what, where and how you can recycle Tasti products.

Soft Plastic Recycling
Soft plastics such as Tasti bar wrappers, wholefood ball pouches, baking range nuts and seeds pouches, Ready to Eat & Dried Fruit pouches and multipack snacking pouches can be recycled by taking them into an NZ supermarket or store participating in the NZ Soft Plastics Programme. You will see one or more of these symbols on your Tasti product packaging.

Box Recycling
You can recycle Tasti bar box packaging through the NZ kerbside paper recycling scheme.

Lid and Tub Recycling
The majority of Tasti tubs and lids are PP (pot/plastic) No.5 which are recyclable in some parts of NZ. Visit your local council website to see if you are able to recycle No.5 plastics in your area.

PP No.5 plastics are one of the most versatile plastics available, but it is important to properly wash and sort your No.5 PP plastics. Any dirty or contaminated items, including the things you put into your recycling bin for kerbside collection, are not likely to be recycled and will most likely head to landfill.
