Our Packaging is Recyclable

Recycling is great for our environment. It reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills, conserves natural resources such as timber, water and minerals, prevents pollution and reduces greenhouse gases. Find out what, where and how to recycle Tasti packaging below.

Soft Plastic Recycling

Soft plastics such as Tasti bar wrappers, wholefood ball pouches, baking range nuts and seeds pouches, Soft and Juicy, dried fruit pouches and multipack snacking pouches can be recycled by taking them into an NZ supermarket or store participating in the NZ Soft Plastics Programme.
You will see one or more of these symbols on your Tasti product packaging.

Tub Recycling

The majority of Tasti tubs and are PP (pot/plastic) No.5 which are recyclable in some parts of NZ.
Visit your local council website to see if you can recycle No.5 plastics in your area. Please note that Tasti wholefood ball tub lids are not recyclable.

PP No.5 plastics are one of the most versatile plastics available, but it is important to properly wash and sort your No.5 PP plastics. Any dirty or contaminated items, including the things you put into your recycling bin for kerbside collection, are not likely to be recycled and will most likely head to landfill.
